Tom is interested in the environment, science, politics, adventure, and culture. He writes features for Wired, National Geographic, Esquire, GQ, Outside, Men's Health, The Sunday Times, Mr Porter, The Red Bulletin, The Gentleman's Journal, and more. His work has been adapted in GQ Korea, GQ Middle East, GQ Japan, Wired Japan, and as Wired podcasts.
His novel The Lion and The Unicorn (Unbound) was published in 2021 and put forward for the Dylan Thomas Prize. His novel Tin Cat is forthcoming. He is a graduate of the Faber Academy.
He has won the GQ Norman Mailer Award, the PPA New Consumer Magazine Journalist of the Year Award, and has been shortlisted for The People's Book Prize.
